Shower filters could save your life if you shower in chlorinated water. If that is the case, shower filters are supposed to eliminate over 92% of the
chlorine and that some claim upwards of 97%. I don't know if those
claims are really met or not.

Certainly, any filter would be far better than none, and will eliminate
the vast majority of the chlorine. The benefit of this is enormous, as we
take in vast amounts of chlorine in a ten minute shower. Not only will
you cease to poison yourself, you will also find your skin becoming softer
and less dry as this toxic stuff is pretty harsh on the skin.
